If you’ve ever wished you could skip the early grind of a tournament and jump straight into meaningful play, Skip-It MTTs on ACR Poker are built exactly for that.
This format is designed to fast-forward through the opening stages and get you close to the bubble in just a few minutes, changing how tournaments typically play out.
If you want to see it in action before jumping in, you can watch a full tutorial from ACR Stormer MBen10, which walks through the format step by step inside the client.
What Skip-It MTTs Are
Skip-It MTTs are a tournament format where the early part of the event is handled automatically.
Instead of playing from the first hand, each player is assigned five AI-controlled entries, known as racers. These racers play the opening phase of the tournament for you, eliminating the need to sit through the early levels.
Within a few minutes, roughly 80% of the field is eliminated. That leaves the remaining 20% close to the bubble stage—and that’s where you take over.
How to Find the Games
In the ACR Poker client, Skip-It MTTs have their own tab next to Sit & Go.
You’ll find a range of buy-ins—typically three tiers like $1.05, $5.25, and $10.50—all offering the same format at different stakes.
How a Tournament Plays Out
Once you register, you’ll either be assigned five random racers or you can choose them yourself.
Each racer starts with their own stack and plays automatically. As the field gets reduced, your racers will either build chips or bust out.
After the fast-forward phase ends—when about 20% of the field remains—any surviving racers are combined into a single stack. That becomes your tournament stack, and from that point on, you play the tournament normally.
This is where your decisions matter most, since you’re entering at a stage where the tournament is approaching the money.
Auto-Play Option
If you’re unable to take over immediately, there is an auto-play option that allows the AI to continue playing for you.
However, this is designed as a backup feature rather than a strategy tool. If you’re serious about maximizing your chances, you’ll want to take control yourself once the playable stage begins.
Day 1 and Day 2 Structure
Skip-It MTTs run with multiple Day 1 flights throughout the day.
If you make it through Day 1, you advance to Day 2—and at that point, you’re already in the money. That removes the typical bubble pressure and shifts the focus entirely to building your stack.
You can also play multiple Day 1 flights. If you qualify more than once, your stacks are combined into a single stack for Day 2.
Why Players Are Trying It
The appeal is simple: skip the early grind and jump straight into high-impact play.
Instead of building a stack from scratch, you enter with a smaller field and higher stakes—making it a faster, more efficient way to play without changing the game itself.
