Two six-figure wins, a 2,401-entry Main Event flight and more high-stakes results set up the next stage of the series.
The OSS XL had another busy Sunday at ACR Poker on September 13, and the biggest numbers came from a pair of events that both pushed past their guarantees. BOLUDO won the $630 Sunday High Roller for $131,893, while NoHobbies took down the $1,050 Sunday Banana for $113,246.
Those two six-figure scores were only part of the story. The PKO Super High Roller produced a $93,543 combined payout for trabasum, BrooCode won Mini Phil’s Thrill with Phil Nagy at the final table, and the first flight of the $500,000 guaranteed $66 Main Event brought in 2,401 entries.
With the first Main Event already underway and the two larger buy-in versions starting on September 20, the OSS XL is moving into one of the most important stretches of its September schedule.
BOLUDO Tops a 1,175-Entry Sunday High Roller
BOLUDO’s win came in OSS XL #99, the $630 Sunday High Roller. The tournament attracted 1,175 entries and generated a $705,000 prize pool, finishing $105,000 above its $600,000 guarantee.
The first-place payout was $131,893, the largest individual payout among the highlighted September 13 results. The $705,000 total was also the biggest prize pool among the events highlighted in the recap.
NoHobbies was not far behind. The $1,050 Sunday Banana, OSS XL #102, drew 554 entries, which put the final prize pool at $554,000 against a $500,000 guarantee. NoHobbies earned $113,246 for the win, giving the Sunday slate a second six-figure champion.
Bounties Make Up Most of trabasum’s $93,543 Win
The $2,650 PKO Super High Roller, OSS XL #101, added another substantial score. With 143 entries, the event produced a $357,500 prize pool against its $300,000 guarantee.
trabasum finished on top and collected $93,543 when regular prize money and bounties were combined. The winner earned $32,391 from the regular prize pool and another $61,152 in bounties, so the bounty component made up most of the total.
That breakdown is a good snapshot of how quickly the value can shift in a PKO. The finishing payout alone was significant, but the bounty haul ended up accounting for the majority of the winner’s return.
BrooCode Wins Mini Phil’s Thrill as Phil Nagy Finishes Fourth
Mini Phil’s Thrill, OSS XL #104, brought 101 entries to the $250,000 guaranteed event. BrooCode won the tournament for $56,813, while Phil Nagy made a deep run and finished fourth for $26,513.
There was another notable result elsewhere on the Sunday schedule, with ACR Pro Rob Kuhn finishing runner-up in OSS XL #98 PKO. That heads-up finish added another familiar name to the day’s results.
The $66 Main Event Opens With 2,401 Entries
The first Main Event of the OSS XL also got underway on September 13. Day 1A of the $500,000 guaranteed $66 Main Event attracted 2,401 entries, and 239 players moved on to Day 2.
Rastern001 ended the flight at the top of the chip counts with 11,783,602. The next opportunity to qualify comes on Sunday, September 20, when Day 1B is scheduled to run. Satellite qualifiers for the $66 Main Event again start at $6.60.
Two Higher-Buy-In Main Events Join the Schedule September 20
September 20 is not only the next flight for the $66 Main Event. It is also Day 1A for the other two Main Events in the OSS XL.
The $2,650 Main Event comes with a $2.5 million guarantee, while the $1,050 Main Event carries a $2 million guarantee. Both of those tournaments have Day 1B flights scheduled for Sunday, September 27.
That gives the next two Sundays a clear Main Event focus. The $66 tournament continues its qualification stage, while the $1,050 and $2,650 versions begin building their own fields before all three events move deeper into the series.
The OSS XL Runs Through September 29
The OSS XL continues through September 29 with 336 events and more than $50 million in guarantees. The September 13 results showed plenty of action outside the Main Events, but the calendar is now shifting toward the three headline tournaments as the series enters its final weeks.
BOLUDO and NoHobbies set the pace with the two biggest winning payouts highlighted from Sunday, while the first $66 Main Event flight established a large starting field. The next checkpoint comes September 20, when that event returns and the $1,050 and $2,650 Main Events join the schedule.
