The opening four days produced a $670,800 High Roller, a 4,752-entry Sunday Splash and early movement in the High and Medium leaderboard races.
The OSS XL is only a few days old, but ACR Poker’s series has already put up some substantial numbers. From Sept. 6 through Sept. 9, the schedule generated $7,216,985 in prize pools and recorded 62,847 entries, not counting entries from tournament flights.
That early pace is visible beyond the headline totals. Across those four days, 93 tournaments ran and 33 of them beat their guarantees by a combined $217,170. The completed numbered schedule had reached OSS XL #70 by the end of Sept. 9, giving players an early look at where the biggest fields, prize pools and leaderboard runs are developing. Those opening numbers also came before the first of three Main Events, which begins Sept. 13. That gave the series several distinct early storylines rather than one dominant result.
A $670,800 High Roller Leads the Early Prize Pools
The biggest prize pool of the opening four days came in OSS XL #13. The $630 buy-in High Roller started with a $600,000 guarantee, then drew 1,118 entries to push the final prize pool to $670,800.
BADGERING finished first and collected $130,210. That result made OSS XL #13 the standout early tournament by prize pool, but it was not the only larger buy-in event to clear its posted guarantee.
The $2,650 Event Also Gets Past Its Guarantee
OSS XL #16 carried a $2,650 buy-in and a $500,000 guarantee. Its 203 entries created a $507,500 prize pool, taking the event beyond the guarantee.
The final table ended with a deal. NewYorkMidgets was listed first for $95,312, KevinParCoeur second for $93,875 and Olivander1 third for $87,459. That gave the $2,650 event three closely grouped top payouts after the deal, while OSS XL #13 remained the opening four days’ largest prize pool.
The Biggest Field Came in a $16.50 Sunday Splash
The largest prize pool came in the $630 High Roller, but the biggest field of the opening four days came much lower on the buy-in ladder. OSS XL #11L, the $16.50 Sunday Splash, attracted 4,752 entries from 3,024 unique players.
Lukewarmwater came through that field to earn $10,953 for first place. The contrast with OSS XL #13 was sharp: the biggest field arrived at a $16.50 buy-in, while the largest prize pool came in a $630 High Roller.
Mystery Bounty action also produced a notable outcome in OSS XL #12. The player who finished 43rd secured the tournament’s top bounty of $15,120, making the bounty hit one of the more eye-catching results from the first four days.
High and Medium Leaderboards Have Early Leaders
The leaderboard races are starting to take shape as well. GROOTHEDEGEN held the early lead in the High standings with 2,381.59 points. The next four were 4435GOLDENBOY, BOW2ME, MIKEINTHEBIKE and RUCOSMONAUT.
On the Medium leaderboard, FEEDTHEPENGUIN led with 599.85 points, followed by JUANG96, GAMBLING888, JBOYYY88 and INIT2MINIT.
There is more than $60,000 in added cash and tournament tickets available across the High, Medium and Low leaderboards. The first-place prizes are $15,000 for High, $7,500 for Medium and $4,000 for Low. With OSS XL running through Sept. 29, the Sept. 9 standings capture only the opening portion of the schedule.
The First Main Event Is Up Next
For players looking ahead, four major multi-flights with $2.225 million in combined guarantees are already underway. The next major milestone is Sunday, Sept. 13, when the first of three OSS XL Main Events begins.
The opening Main Event has a $500,000 guarantee and a $66 direct buy-in. Satellites start at $6.60, giving players a lower-cost route into the tournament. Day 1B is scheduled for Sept. 20, with Day 2 following on Sept. 27.
The full OSS XL runs through Sept. 29 with 336 events and more than $50 million guaranteed. After $7.2 million in prize pools over the first four days, there is still a large portion of the schedule left to play out.
