OSS XL starts at ACR Poker on Sunday, Sept. 6, and it is not spending the opening weekend warming up. The 24-day series runs through Sept. 29 with 336 events and more than $50 million guaranteed, and the first Sunday already brings several six-figure guarantees across a wide range of buy-ins.
That opening slate includes a $600,000 GTD event with a $630 buy-in, separate $500,000 GTD tournaments at $2,650 and $1,050, the $400,000 GTD Moneymaker at $109 and a $150,000 GTD Mystery Bounty at $66. There are also PKOs, 6-max tournaments, PLO and PLO8 on the schedule, so the first day gives players plenty of ways to get into the series without waiting for Main Event week.
Three Main Events Put $5 Million GTD In Play
The biggest stretch arrives later in September, when three Main Events combine for $5 million guaranteed.
At the top is a $2.5 million GTD Main Event with a $2,650 buy-in. The second carries a $2 million guarantee and costs $1,050 to enter. Both follow the same late-series structure: Day 1A on Sunday, Sept. 20, Day 1B on Sunday, Sept. 27, Day 2 on Monday, Sept. 28 and the final table on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
If those buy-ins are not where you want to play, the third Main Event is much more accessible. The $66 tournament carries a $500,000 guarantee, with Day 1 flights on Sept. 13 and Sept. 20 before Day 2 on Sept. 27. There are also $6.60 satellites, which create a cheaper route into that Main Event.
That setup gives the series three different Main Event price points without pushing all of the meaningful action into one weekend. The $66 Main Event starts earlier, while the $1,050 and $2,650 tournaments build toward the final two days of OSS XL.
All Four Major Multi-Flights Start Sept. 6
You do not have to wait for the Main Events to start building a stack. All four featured multi-flights begin on opening Sunday and combine for $2.225 million guaranteed.
The largest is the $1.5 million GTD Main Multi-Flight with a $630 buy-in. Day 1s run throughout Sept. 6-28, giving players most of the series to get involved, and Day 2 is scheduled for Sept. 28.
The other three are Mystery Bounty multi-flights at very different price points: $500,000 GTD for $109, $150,000 GTD for $33 and $75,000 GTD for $5.50. The $109 Mystery Bounty reaches Day 2 on Sept. 21. The $33 and $5.50 events keep their flights open through Sept. 27, when both advance to Day 2.
For players who like multi-flight formats, that means there is action from $5.50 all the way up to $630, with several weeks to find the level and schedule that fit.
Nosebleed Stakes Take Over The Top End
The most expensive part of OSS XL arrives from Sept. 21-28. During that eight-day stretch, ACR Poker will run 10 Nosebleed Stakes tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $5,000 to $25,000.
Those events land while the two biggest Main Events are moving from their first flights toward Day 2 and while the $1.5 million Main Multi-Flight is approaching its own second day. In other words, the high-stakes schedule gets busiest just as several of the series’ biggest tournaments are reaching their closing stages.
More Than $60K Added Across Three Leaderboards
Tournament payouts are only part of the money available during OSS XL. The series also includes more than $60,000 in cash and tournament tickets across High, Medium and Low leaderboard races.
The High Leaderboard covers buy-ins of $104.50 or more and pays $15,000 to first place. The Medium Leaderboard covers buy-ins from $16.50 to $88 and awards $7,500 to first. The Low Leaderboard is for buy-ins below $15 and pays $4,000 to its winner.
That gives players at several different buy-in levels another reason to care about each OSS XL result. A deep run can pay at the tournament table and also add points toward a separate series race.
Tickets And Satellites Create Cheaper Ways In
Direct buy-ins are not the only way to reach the bigger events. The Beast will award OSS XL seats throughout September, including $1,050 and $2,650 tickets. Satellites also feed players into major tournaments, including the $6.60 qualifiers for the $66 Main Event.
The schedule also includes more events in US-friendly time slots. For players trying to put together a full day of tournament action, that creates more opportunities to play OSS XL without relying entirely on late-night starts.
The key dates come quickly once the series begins. Sept. 6 opens OSS XL and all four major multi-flights. The $66 Main Event starts Sept. 13, the $2.5 million and $2 million Main Events begin Sept. 20, Nosebleed Stakes start Sept. 21, and the closing run on Sept. 27-29 includes Main Event Day 2s and the two biggest final tables.
Sunday Is Only The Starting Line
OSS XL starts with serious guarantees on Sept. 6, but the opening slate is only the first layer of the schedule. Between the three Main Events, four multi-flights, Nosebleed Stakes tournaments and three leaderboard races, the series keeps adding new targets as September moves along.
Whether you want to take a shot at the $5.50 Mystery Bounty multi-flight, chase one of the three Main Events or play at the top end of the Nosebleed Stakes schedule, there is a clear path into the series. It all starts Sunday and runs through the final tables on Sept. 29.
